Bloom is owned and run by Elizabeth & Bob, but we collaborate with people, groups, and galleries both in Spain and abroad.
Elizabeth Hefty is an artist, writer, teacher and co-owner of Bloom. She was born in London, but has lived in the US, France, Senegal, Spain and Lebanon. She has a BA in Humanities and a masters in Celtic Studies as well as a MFA in Fine Art - Painting, and is currently studying for a doctorate in Metaphysics. She is particularly interested in cross-cultural dialog and communication, and how art can be used to facilitate greater cooperation and understanding between groups.
Bob Khoury is co-owner of Bloom. He was born in Beirut, Lebanon and studied archaeology before becoming a Geographic Information System consultant, working in various countries in the Middle East and Africa. With a background that also includes education and NGOs, his interests mainly lie in the historical and social contexts of art, as well as building communities of creatives locally.
